During my site visit to the Wanås Foundation I was struck by the history of labor over this land dating back to medieval times.  Working from the premise that the plethora of today's illnesses and syndromes are due to the dislocation of people from the natural rhythms of nature - of sunlight and fresh air, I created 3 works entitled together as The Land Use Project seeking to remind us of this natural healthy relationship in a place where it exists - Wanås. The Land Use Project mediates ones experience of the property by updating its histories of forestry, animal husbandry and agriculture to retreat-like experiences or treatments. The three pieces are entitled Solarium, Recall and Retain.
